Mela Works and Worldacquire announce partnership
aimed at Southeast Asia expansion
London, UK - Mela Works, the tech company that created its namesake fieldwork management app, retains Worldacquire, a London-based consultancy, to help grow the Mela brand and spearhead its launch in the Southeast Asian market.
“We believe that Southeast Asia is very attractive for Mela because our product offers the perfect solution to the demands of the region’s booming fieldwork activity”, states Francesco Putignano, co-founder of Mela Works.
Southeast Asia has some of the world’s fastest growing economies according to World Bank, including Cambodia (sixth globally), Thailand and Indonesia, and this is reflected in the rapid increase of their infrastructure development, agricultural and food-related goods as well as garment production. An industry CEO survey conducted by Deloitte reveals that some countries are set to “replace China as the world’s factory” in the next five years.
“Mela will boost productivity across any industry while also enhancing safety for workers – it’s a win-win solution”, Francesco adds.
Mela Works strives to simplify fieldwork globally by building the one-stop solution for people to collaborate, report and analyse their efforts in an easy, efficient and transparent way. Mela, which means “gathering” in ancient Sanskrit language, will be used by people in every industry and create a common culture of quality, safety and intuitiveness.
Recently, out of 400+ international startups from around the world, Mela Works has been selected by Startupbootcamp to be part of its rigorous Smart City & IoT accelerator programme in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, which gives Mela access to mentorship and pilot clients from Amazon, Cisco, PwC, Amsterdam Schiphol Airport and similar companies.
